Porthcurno was where the first international telegraph cable was brought ashore 150 years ago, and this fascinating museum charts the stratospheric advances in global communications since that time. Once a WW2 underground telegraph station, there are exhibits to enchant all ages plus a cafe and shop.

Visited here to watch Seth Lakeman twice over his 4 concert weekend. We had a fantastic time - both concerts were excellent made all the more amazing by the Minack Theatre and it's beautiful surroundings. The Minack is a fantastic venue for music events, we have been to quite a few concerts there and always had a good time. The Minack staff are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Parking is excellent, again with very friendly helpful staff. Furthermore, the gardens at the Minack are stunning and are well worth a visit.

No visit to Cornwall is complete without experiencing the magical Isles of Scilly. Lying just 28 miles off the Cornish coast, these sand-fringed islands bask in a warmer climate than anywhere else in the UK. Sail along Cornwall’s rugged coastline on Scillonian III from Penzance, or fly Skybus from Land’s End and you will be on the islands in good time for lunch. Spend the day discovering secluded beaches, walk or cycle miles of trails and paths, or island-hop between the five off-islands. Find out why Scilly is famous for enticing its visitors to return again and again.
Get your kids off their phones and gadgets for a while and experience Cornwall’s ultimate escape room. For 60 minutes you will be locked in a room and will have to communicate with each other using your problem solving skills and intuition to escape. Although not for geniuses it is a brain teaser. Will you have what it takes to escape?

Travel to the tip of Cornwall and visit the famous Land’s End landmark. Take a photo with the iconic sign post, made famous by many celebrities journeying from end to end across the breadth of Great Britain. Have a cracking day out at ‘A grand experience’ attraction featuring the iconic characters, Wallace & Gromit, Morth and Shuan the Sheep or immerse yourself into a 4D sensory film experience. For the wildlife lovers amongst you, make sure to bring your binoculars to spot wildlife including Cornish choughs, Kittiwakes and if you’re lucky even grey seals, basking sharks and dolphins in the water below the high cliffs. There is plenty of facilities on site including a restaurant and café serving food all day.

I have been visiting Land's End since 1969 - the area has been truly spoiled now it has the attractions. It used to be so peaceful with beautiful, natural surroundings - just as nature intended. The attractions have now completely ruined the area which is most disappointing. We have started visiting during the evening time only, when the attractions are closed, to try and see Land's End during it's 'quiet time'. Unfortunately, I doubt we will be visiting again - our family visited in a total of 3 cars and we were charged £6 each to park for one hour!!!!! Woulldn't mind if the car park was in good condition but it's a wreck!!!!

An attractive 16th century traditional village pub serving a variety of real ales and excellent home cooked food. The perfect spot for a meal or cold beer after a day on the beach or exploring the many scenic walks in the area.
Logan Rock Inn Treen, St. Levan, Penzance, Cornwall, TR19 6LG (T: 01736 810495)
Visited here one evening after a lovely walk down to Logan Rock and the surrounding cliff walks. We visited with our family and all had a fantastic meal. We are never disappointed with the food and drink at Logan Rock Inn - we would recomment to everyone.

Stylish and contemporary in a stunning beachside location on one of Cornwall’s prettiest coves, The Old Success Inn will soon be your favourite holiday pub. The restaurant includes an enviable outdoor decked area, the perfect spot to enjoy something delicious from the menu or a chilled glass of wine on a sunny evening. Excellent Sunday Roasts too!
Old Success Inn, Sennen Cove, Cornwall TR19 7DG (T: 01736 871232)
We had several lunches here during our stay. Service is very friendly and efficient and they have a good and reasonably priced menu. Good beer too.

This was closed during our visit to Sennen. We last went there in October 2023 and it appeared to be under new management with a pool table just installed, new metal seating and what looked like bobsleighs hanging from the beams. The menu was basic burgers as I recall. We just had a coffee. It has a lovely view and is in a good position so I hope it will reopen. Such a shame for them to miss the very busy bank holiday weekend trade, loads of surfers looking for somewhere to eat. The takeaway downstairs was doing a good trade though.

Amazing position on the beach front and great food served. Dogs allowed and lovely friendly staff. Unfortunately, disappointed that no vegan breakfast available ---too many vegans now to ignore this!!

This establishment has gone down hill since being under different management . Poor service and limited menu. It’s wonderful location merits something better!

A relaxed and stylish bistro restaurant overlooking the harbour with a French twist. Seasonal menus with emphasis on great local seafood.
2 Fore Street, Mousehole, Cornwall 01736 731164
The choice and quality of food at 2 Fore Street never disappoints . The service is generally delightful and ambience relaxing. It is pricier but worth it.

lovely little cove, but watch out for the Parking rules !!
September 2023
Walked to Lamorna Cove from Castallack - it was a very nice walk on a lovely and sunny Sunday morning. The cove was very quiet and peaceful, not many visitors around. We sat and enjoyed the view and had an ice-cream from the local cafe; the staff in the cafe were so friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

Porthcurno is located in the far West of Cornwall and has been described by many as a paradise and it’s not hard to see why. With its soft white sand beaches, turquoise sea which gleams in the summer sun and the high cliffs on either side of the beach providing shelter, it is described as an oasis of stunning natural beauty. On the west side of the beach is the famous Minack Theatre and to either side of the beach you will find coastal paths that provide the most breath-taking views. Dogs are welcome on the beach expect between 1 May and 30 September when a seasonal dog ban is in place. Parking can be found just behind the beach.
What a lovely beach. Golden/white sands. Beautiful clear waters. On a calm day great for paddle boarding, swimming and paddling. The beach does drop away quickly and gets deep. We have been when it is wavy too but feels safe with the lifeguards there during high season. Parking can get very busy so I suggest you get there early in the day if you want a space closer to the beach, there are some disabled bays. The spaces are small and if you have a big car I suggest you reverse in so it is easier to get out at the end of a busy day on the beach. There are 3 routes down to the beach. From the Minack which is steep and rocky with lovely views. A path from the car park which is a little uneven and down a slope. My mother managed to get her mobility scooter down this and the lovely Lifeguards let her leave it at the Lifeguard station. There are also some steps down to the beach at the Lifeguards hut.

This a lovely easy walk from the cottage along the lane and a few footpaths and finally down a lot of steps. A very quiet beach when we were staying but when the surfs up it can get busy. It lacks any facilities but you can join the coastal path from there and walk back into Sennen Cove. At very low tide it is possible to walk round the rocks to Sennen Beach.

AQ wonderful beach with a steep climb down. A very good car park attached to the farm. There are delicious jars of pickles, jam amd cakes available from the pay hut.

Mousehole is a delightful village. Beautiful scenery and walks, with some interesting shops and places to eat and drink. We ate very well at The Mousehole Deli and Kitchen on the seafront, which has an interesting menu, good coffee, and lovely staff. Bought great gifts at the weekly Craft Market too. Parking in Mousehole is quite limited!

absolutely lovely fishing village, well worth a walk round, so relaxing having a walk around here !!
September 2023
We loved Mousehole! It has real character and we could walk there from our cottage. We swam there twice and the water was wonderful. We also enjoyed pasties, coffee and cake in the village. We would definitely go back there again.
September 2023
Beautiful, quaint Mousehole, one of our favourite places. Had a lovely stroll around the harbour and village and visited most of the gift shops. Sat for a while in the lovely harbour, so peaceful and quiet.

Great place to watch the world go by. Not brave enough to join the locals jumping from the harbour walls into the water but looked great fun at high tide.
